Taking control of a stutter takes work, persistence, more hard work and more hard work. For me, the McGuire program has been the key to gaining control. If $$ is an issue, try government funded therapy and most importantly if all, take whatever technique works for you and be prepared to work hard and never ever ever ever give up. Ongoing peer support is VITAL for long term success. There are no quick fixes.
