I got a job working on national television

I got a job working on national television It's not a glamorous position at all (one of those 24/hr sales networks where you can buy knives and coins and shit), but I'll be speaking for up to four hours at a time live on national TV. I had a very bad stutter through high school and college, and I still stutter quite a bit whenever I'm nervous, excited, or emotional. So, pretty frequently. But after I became comfortable with having it and stopped worrying about inconveniencing other people by making them wait to hear me speak, it's gotten to a point where it doesn't have an effect on my day to day life. I've always enjoyed performing, so not worrying about my stutter opened a lot of otherwise closed doors when it came to speaking to an audience. I did open-mic standups, opened a (very small) tour guide business, and now I'm doing this new TV gig. Just wanted to share. Posters on this sub sometimes have a defeatist outlook about their disfluency, and I get that, but don't get too down on yourselves guys and gals.
