I think it’s like singing. You memorize the the lines so much that speaking them is second nature and there is a type of rhythm to your speech. And in normal speaking there’s no rhythm. I work at a call center. And I find that during my call when I speak and I’m reading a script I’ve memorized I don’t stutter: only when it gets to questions or addressing an issue I’m not too familiar with does the stuttering start.
