Had anyone ever had to talk to the police as a stutterer? I

Had anyone ever had to talk to the police as a stutterer? I I have had my run ins with the cops, usually traffic violations and some paraphernalia charge like 10 years ago...whatever. Anyway, when they would ask me questions, they thought I was messed up or just plain guilty because I was stuttering and nervous. Now I feel like I have to disclose it. Someone hit my car and when talking to a cop, I had to disclose "hey I'm not on anything, I just have a speech problem". They are so quick to judge, but so is everyone else.
