I was flown to the Natl Inst of Health in DC as they were doing a study on what caused stuttering. Apparently, I am an anomaly as no one in my family stutters. I did have ear infections as s child but not chronic. There was no line of questioning regarding ear infections. I was supposed to get an MRI of my brain as they "make" me stutter. I never got to that point as it turns out I am partially deaf so was sent packing. This was about 8 years ago.
