I collect words or short phrases that are least likely to trigger stuttering and lean on them to get me started. "So" is a good one to drop in front of question words: "So, how.." or "So, why...". Then dropping the troublesome consonant and running on through the sentence as though you had said it works well. Instead of trying to say, "So how do you...," I'll say something that sounds like, "So'ow do you..." If "do" is troublesome, you can drop it and no one will blink. Instead of "So, do you want to..." you can say, "So, you want to..." People will know what you're saying. Many people don't notice it, or maybe they think I have a funny accent, but most people don't think about it at all. Good luck.
