That’s just what happens sometimes. Sometimes our nerves just throws everything out the window. I’m sure it felt worse to you than anyone who was listening. Likely most of your class was zonked out during your presentation or was rehearsing theirs in their head. Do you have an IEP? As a school-based SLP, I like to offer accommodations to my students who stutter to help reduce anxiety. These are to help you get through assignments, not replace them. Common ones that I propose are choosing in which order you present (for example, going third when class is giving presentations), option to use notecards without penalty, no maximum time restrictions on presentations (so you don’t have to worry about having a gnarly block and running out of time and being penalized), and option to give presentations for grading in a 1:1 setting with teachers if you present in front of the class for participation.
