Wow, I've never heard the superstition about stuttering and raining. That's pretty funny. It's like the 'weird things happen on a full moon,' you just NOTICE weird things more when it's a full moon because it's on your mind. When I'm feeling extremely confident, I rarely stutter, too. This is a rarity for me, but there have been times in my life when I went almost a whole day without stuttering at all. Sometimes I really have to try to put myself into that mind-set to keep myself from stuttering in situations, which is hard to manufacture when it's not coming naturally. I also notice I stutter more when I'm tired, or just more anxious than normal. This is common and totally normal. Even non-stutters trip over their words more when they're stressed or tired.
