For me, my stuttering is directly caused by my fear of stuttering. When I am in a context where I am not worried at all about stuttering, I rarely stutter. I can sometimes prevent my stutter by actively blocking negative thoughts immediately before I encounter a potentially stressful speaking scenario. It’s not easy, but I try really hard to “blank” my mind and just speak without trying to predict words I will stutter on. (I work in a similar field as you and I had to overcome theses same challenges, but the struggle made me stronger and more confident in my abilities despite my imperfections)
