Being called out on your stutter. So, lately I have been called out on my stutter on a few different occasions. This has been complete strangers, who calls me out after just a minute of conversation. It has never been in any offending way, fortunately, but I can't help feeling kind of sad every time. I have encountered two types of "out-callers": 1. (Common) Basically confirms their observation that you stutter, sometimes coupled with something like "I used to stutter too"/"it is nothing wrong" etc. 2. (Very rare) Asks if you would like some help/tells an insightful anecdote about it. Anyone else have experience with this kind of behaviour? I personally find number 1 to be very annoying.
