People like people who like them. A salesperson told me a technique that he always uses, and you don't have to say anything to use it. He said that every time he meets someone, he immediately thinks of two things he likes about the person. And sometimes he'll mention what he thought of, and sometimes he won't...but that's the first thing he always does every time he sees everyone, is he thinks of two things he likes about each person.
