> If you wait too long to start speech therapy for her, the effects from the therapy won't be as effective. Our Pediatrician said not to worry unless it really gets much worse or if it continues until she's 5. It seems like such a far way away, but I do feel like I should give her some time to possibly overcome it. Would waiting a few weeks to see if it goes away be detrimental? I feel like my husband will think that I'm blowing things out of proportion by insisting on going to a specialist this early. But, obviously, I want what's best. My brother had a stutter that wasn't addressed until he was a teenager, and therapy helped him; although, he definitely does stutter on occasion if he's anxious or rushed. I bet he'd have benefited from our dad getting him help sooner...
