I have a minor deviated septum, but the major cause of my inability to breathe through my nose was turbinate hypertrophy. Nasal steroids and azelastine are life savers. Myofunctional therapy won't help you to breathe better. It will help to correct orofacial dysfunction, but to have correct orofacial function, you must be able to breathe through your nose on a regular basis.
