I hear you. Its really heart breaking as a parent to see your child struggling in speaking. My 13 year old son has the same journey. Stutter since 4 and started speech at 2.5 for late speaking. We stopped his speech at 11 since we were told he doesn’t have the awareness. Now we have decided to put him back to speech as he will be starting high school getting more self-aware and I have heard his friends few time making fun of the way he speaks. All you can do as a parent is give them time to speak . Practice breathing and boost their confidence on things they are good at to help them mentally compensate. School is tough but I totally believe if family gives you the understanding and confidence you will survive the school.
