From one stutterer to another, I think that's generally true. To be actually famous, like James Earl Jones or Joe Biden (both used to stutter), you kind of have to be a good public speaker. And the rules of good public speaking don't change for us. It's unfortunate, but that's the way the world is. There are obvious exceptions though, like musicians. And fame isn't the same as success, anyone with a stutter can be successful.
