My stutter is related with other muscle block problems Hi, I am a stutter since I was 7. There were periods where I basically didn't stutter at all (especially during summer) and periods where I wasn't able to even say a sentence. I have noticed how when I meet new people, I basically only stutter on my name (this will always be a pain), while with my best friend I stutter more. But the most important thing I've noticed is how sometimes I would get not only speech blocks, but also other blocks. Like one time I was out with my friends drinking, and when I was holding the glass, my mind sayed "You are not going to be able to get the glass to your mouth" and my hand started to shake because I was forcing myself to bring the glass to my mouth, but in my mind this was something impossible. Pretty much the same sensation that I have when I stutter. Things like that happened a lot of times since I was a child, and at this point I am pretty sure it is related with stuttering, because they only happen when I'm with other people and I care about other opinion. Is there a name for something like that? I think this is not neurological but psychological.
