Yeah, I use constant cues to make people feel like they're being heard. Not sure if it's down to being polite, or me being worried that I'm being rude. Not sure. I have a stutter, so naturally I'm more of a listener, but I also, like others with a stutter, am dreading my turn to speak. When I'm overthinking during a conversation, sometimes the cues help bring me back to the conversation instead of being in my head. Not sure if it's the right or wrong thing to do.
