It might help to remember that not only were you chosen for that job (I’m sure over a number of other applicants), but you have a right to work it. So, sometimes people might have to wait a little longer as you speak on the phone, but it’s nothing to be ashamed of. The only people who should be ashamed are those who would be so cold hearted as to hang up on you because of your speech.
