Yes, 10 years of therapy and we’ve been to some of the conferences and camps, so I’m a believer that therapy techniques can help you to a point if you choose to use them, but will not make the stutter and accessory behaviors go away. I only asked because once again someone said to me that they’ve noticed the stuttering has gotten worse and there’s all these famous people who used to stutter who don’t stutter anymore and maybe I need to take him to more speech therapy. That maybe he needs more sleep and he’ll grow out of it like this or that famous person. I wanted to show them that these famous people who now speak fluently didn’t have the same level or type of stuttering as my son, so it’s like comparing apples to oranges. Of course if I’m wrong, I would love to have a real life relatable example to show him.
