“This sub has toxic positivity” no this sub has TOXIC NEGATIVITY Ok no one else is saying it so I’m gonna be the one to say it. What the actual hell is wrong with you people? How come whenever anyone tries to be positive about their stutter and accept themselves, you feel the need to bring them down and tell them that they in fact should hate themselves? If you guys feel that way about your stutter, that is totally understandable, but you shouldn’t actively try to bring other stutterers down to your level who have found self acceptance. Anytime I see anyone post about self acceptance or saying something positive about their stutter, the comments are all filled with stuff like “you’re just delusional stuttering will always make you a loser” “you are trying to cope you know people will always think you’re a freak and our lives our worthless” “there is nothing positive about this our lives are worthless and everyone else thinks we are worthless just accept it” Like do you guys want other stutterers to be suicidal or something? Why would you tell them to “just accept” that they will be losers forever. Like you guys literally tell other stutterers on here that their lives are worthless because they stutter. Sorry if this is “toxic positivity” to you guys, but I don’t think it’s good for all stutterers to just give up on life and feel like hopeless losers forever.
