The General physicians usually just follow prescription guidelines but discriminate based on age. They’re strict with most prescriptions and loose with others(like stimulants and ADD). I’ve been to 3 GP’s in the past year and a psychiatrist who was just throwing all kinds of drugs to try at me. Eventually the meds started to work okay so I switched back to my GP who refused to continue what the psychiatrist had me on strictly because I’m “not old enough” even if that’s what worked the best In the past 2 years I’ve been to multiple generalists, 3 speech therapists, 2 regular therapists/counselors, a neurologist and a psychiatrist
