i think a huge issue is that people, even amongst stutterers (usually ones with mild stutters) argue if anyone says it’s a disability, which it is. i really appreciate your comment and insight! i think all people with stutters should have access to communities such as this, regardless of severity… my main issue is the comments left under people with neurological stutters posts telling them if they do this or that that it’ll cure their stutter, when there is no cure. and a massive issue is the media; characters with stutters only ever have anxiety induced stutters and it’s always only ever portrayed as either the brunt of the joke, or a cute quirk. i just wish for once people would see neurological stutters for what they are; a disability that affects all aspects of a persons life negatively, regardless of their outlook on it/supposed coping techniques
