That's the same strategy that I use – "fuck it, I'm talking now". It makes me somewhat narcissistic (to people who doesn't know me) and sometimes loud/too animate, but it helps. But I still can't get over "are you 18?" questions at shops. N-no, I'm 25, give me my cigs. :)
