not to deflect from your point, but you created a scenario of either staying a severe stutterer or finding a magic cure with no middle ground. When these are the only two options the only result is misery. A severe stutter impedes communication, there's no way around it. But you can work on it to stutter easier and be able to communicate well. If you've never experienced comfortable communication while stuttering, then I can see how you can feel the way you do. You don't need to stop stuttering to live your life, you just need to develop the skills to not let your stutter be so painful and debilitating. And she's doing everything she would even if she were magically cured. You dont need to look for a cure (there is none), you need to learn to stutter without the struggle of it.
