> Doctors are not drug experts Psychiatrists are and those are the doctors you usually go to for neurological problems. > They are also not allowed to experiment on PWS They are not just prescribing random drugs and seeing if it works. In the medical field, you don't just get a license and go to work for 40 years. The field is always adapting so the psychiatrists are constantly learning. Many drugs are well-accepted for Off-Label Prescribing for certain conditions. Off-Label Prescribing is sometimes more common than On-Label Prescribing. > I thought that was clear You do know Drug Makers benefit from Off-Label prescribing. They actually encourage it. Drug Makers also put the most money into lobbying out of all industries. With that said, few doctors are going to risk losing their license by prescribing random drugs. Its very common for doctors to prescribe drugs that are not FDA approved. Gabapentin is extremely common for anxiety disorders and is widely accepted as being used for anxiety. > Doctors can only repeat what the drug maker says Why are you still trying to argue if almost every other point you've made previously has been disproven. That is blatanly false. Why can't you accept that you don't know much about this field and are making assumptions. I have disproven multiple, multiple statements you've made. > Or invent something based on their own prejudices and belief. What do you mean? I don't think you understand what prejudice is. Doctors base it off of studies. Some doctors have gotten in trouble for prescribing odd drug choices but its well-accepted and off-label prescribing is common (as it should be).
