Regarding Toastmasters, I believe my speech impediment heavily relies on the situation i'm in. By getting used to public speaking I hope to lower my anxiety levels when communicating orally. It's like if I ace public speaking, I'll be able to do right on many speaking tasks. Generally all speeches in Toastmasters are praised and effort is always appreciated, as I have been given a lot of possitive feedback for my attitude againts my speech impediment. How did you start your avoidance reduction therapy? Are you following any book? It's something I consider but I don't know where to begin, I don't have the courage to just ignore my speech impediments when, for example, talking to a professor.
