One of the biggest challenges I’ve felt and seen others work towards overcome is that it really is just about letting go what other people think of you. For me, as the previous comment said, a major part of that was getting the right people around me. People think all kinds of things and I honestly don’t blame them, if only 1% of people have some sort of stutter, you may be their first experience which is really confusing, and once I accepted that, it made it a lot easier to laugh off the “yeah I stutter too when I’m nervous” type of comments. But it’s a process, it all works out in due time.
