I don't think this can necessarily apply to everyone because there are lots of different and complex causes. But practising mindfulness etc is good for life in general anyway! Personally, I often feel resentful that I should have to work so hard at it when other people can just spout bollocks without thinking twice, let alone doing all this. Honestly, it sounds bad, but I don't want to put in this much work. What is helping me the most is trying to stop giving a fuck. If I don't stutter, great! When I do, whatever. But this mentality also takes a lot of practise and work, in a different way. Maybe I will try your way!
