Yep..I was angry with myself for the longest time..then I was angry at others.. lol…bottom line it’s no one’s fault. We are unique. I will tell you a funny incident. Hope that cheers you up. I was at an interview for a job opportunity to come your way the US. Somewhere during mid interview, the lady on the interview panel asked me “has anyone told you, that you talk like actor Hugh Grant “. I immediately knew the reference. British actor Hugh Grant has a very peculiar way of talking, which is very prominent in movies like Four Weddings and a Funeral , Nine Months, Notting Hill. I casually respond “What do you know, Hugh Grant is actually my fav actor and I’ve been Njne Months at least a dozen times”. She shad she liked it and I got the job. Been here in the US for 24 years. I’ve never been asked about my speech problem while working in the US. I get stuck quite often but I just don’t care. If folks are upset by it..that’s on them. I can’t fix my disability so it is what it is hahahahha. Fk em who got a problem with that. I am happily married, and by god’s grace..doing quite well. Just create your own style bro… Using a “new” accent to mask stuttering is something that works and it’s fun because you end up sort of creating a whole new accent. I tend to mix slight Eastern European tone/accent mainly when I am on conference calls or phone calls. When I used to play MMO games and we used to use voice chat, I would add some French accent..just a bit. One time my accent was so spot on, one guy started flirting. That was weird. Hahaaaaha. Anyways…what we can do is deal with it..and move on.
