Advice how to help a stutterer Hi, My little brother has a severe stutter problem where he can only say one-word-sentences without stuttering about 10 seconds for every letter. It is the most intense stutter I have ever heard. We were raised in a very abusive household and he was trained from left-handed to right-handedness. I heard that that also might cause stuttering. He has gone through some very expensive therapies but I didn't see ANY effects. He is fed up with therapy and doesn't want to to them anymore (I can understand that). He very very rarely speaks on his own and spends most of his free time playing video games where he writes with people instead of speaking. That's his social life I guess. He is 14 years old and will go to a new school next month. I heard that there are some APPS for stutter training. But I don't know how good they are. Do you guys have any recommendations how I could help him? We don't live in the same house anymore and I rarely see him because of family issues. Thanks for your time guys.
