Stuttering Institute in Texas A few months ago, randomly, I was asked to work on a video for the Lang Stuttering Institute in Austin, Texas. I have a slight stutter that came on just a few years ago but they didn't know this when they hired me. Anyhow, they have a free camp for kids every summer in addition to their regular therapy services. I learned so much about stuttering - misconceptions in our society and the challenges that people face. I was so impressed and amazed at how mature these students were in how they viewed stuttering. They taught me to be a better listener and turned me into an advocate. Anyway, I hope that any folks here that are in Texas or just interested might check out the Lang Institute.
