panicked and refused to do the icebreaker in class

panicked and refused to do the icebreaker in class my class today did icebreakers/introducing yourself to the class and when it got to my turn i panicked so hard and just said “no thank you i’ll pass” has anyone else done this? i feel like it was rude and i feel kinda bad. but on the other hand i’d much rather have the awkwardness that came after i did that than the awkwardness that comes after i stutter & block. at least the professor didn’t seem to care though, just said okay and moved on.
