Well, it's good to remain hopeful. In the US we've seen promising trials with Ecopipam which may be the first FDA-approved anti-stuttering drug as well as a host of others in earlier stages. In a few years it wouldn't surprise me to have some of these anti-stuttering drugs on the market. I had the same guilt about not stopping my stutter via speech therapy, but ultimately I've reached the conclusion that it's in the brain and it's going to take a chemical change to really get to the heart of the stuttering impulse. I guess in the meantime I just fear my stuttering turning me into a nobody, and to be honest it sometimes does.
