Yup... Even tho I know they're kids, it hurts a lot. I remember one time when I was like uhmm maybe 9, I visited my mom's friend with my mom. She wanted me to read a book to her young kid. I started reading out loud and then that kid said "why does he talk so weird?". I was young back then too so it hurt even more than it would now. Truly a terrible feeling, knowing that you can't help it. My mom's friend immediately explained to him that I have a stutter. But I felt humiliated either way.
