Yeah, I get why that would be frustrating, getting ghosted when applying for jobs happens to a lot of people and it doesn't necessarily mean you did anything wrong. If the place you found already makes you feel uncomfortable, that's something to take seriously. Working somewhere like a cafe or cashier job could actually be a good idea in college since it can help you meet people and make friends, but you can always keep looking for a better fit too.
