It likely maps because he gives a pretty good biomechnical backing for it. I also read his book that Golgi linked. I think there's a lot of good information and especially great background on the mechanics of stuttering and the like. He gave a workshop at the annual NSA conference two years ago which I attended and enjoyed. I spoke with him briefly after his presentation but didn't get as clear of a sense of "solution" as I did while reading the book. I do recommend the book and I would recommend anyone try out what he's saying if they believe in it. I think my biggest issue the valsalva technique it is was still too mechanically oriented and I feel my own person stuttering is much more psychologically based.
