Unless you need special accommodations to perform the job, I would not check the ADA box. The only time I’d consider it, outside of needing special accommodations, would be possibly for an EEO related position. Even then, despite how wrong it is, I’d be worried about it being a negative mark against me from the start. You could file an EEO complaint, if you felt it counted against you. I’ve seen people try, but it’s a rather uphill battle to prove an applicant was chosen over you /only/ because you checked that box. Best of luck in your job search!
