She had a pre-drafted template for stutterers, but I was asked if I wanted to input anything. You can ask your teachers to give you a sly hint that they're going to call on you, like a tap on the shoulder or direct eye contact. Giving you ample time to start responding isn't too much to ask either. Your experience is going to vary based on your school and instructors. Communicating with your teachers and advocating for yourself is very important. (I just did most of this via email so there was less pressure on me!)
