There's a good stuttertalk podcast on this but I'll just add again, don't be afraid of taking a child to see an slp (who understands stuttering) when they're young. They're not more likely to "catch" stuttering by talking about it or seeing an slp. Lord knows how many of us had it be am in discussed subject despite having to live with it smacking you in the face every day.
