Actually, while it is *less* common for stuttering to first surface post-adolescence, it is not unheard of. Nor indicative that "something else" is likely going on. Always good to consult a medical professional if you experience changes and new symptoms, yes. But, it should never be assumed that late onset of something that typically occurs earlier is likely to indicate tumors or serious psychological issues. Some people start stuttering at age five. Some start at twelve. Some start at twenty.
