I don’t recall what happened after he finished speaking, but understand how a group of strangers slapping his back for speaking would seem like it wasn’t genuine. I’m just saying I enjoyed the opportunity to hear him share how he prefers to finish his own sentences, and I thought it was great that this was broadcast on national tv. I find Mitch to be a great speaker and his words on his feelings regarding having a stutter were inspiring. To me, it’s just another way of talking. There’s no judgement. But I also don’t stutter and recognize everyone likely has their own thoughts and feelings about their own stutter. Just wanted to say it was not painful or difficult for me to listen to him speak with a stutter, I thought it was awesome he had the opportunity to address it and say what his preferences are.
