u/ihtrma makes the best points. Every serious relationship I've had at one point there has to be the talk. My mom is the most patient listener when I'm having a block. She doesn't ignore it but let's me gather my self to get out what I want to say. Same with my best friends. I see a lot of people roll they're eyes away or laugh when I'm speaking at it makes me even more nervous. My boyfriend is great at public speaking and doesn't mind doing all the talking to the waiters, the shop owners, the help desks. I think he knows it makes him look more like a gentleman making all the reservations and I let him because its sweet.
