I was 17 years old and was driving 3 of my friends around on a Saturday night near the mall. I forgot to turn on my headlights as I was exiting a very well lit parking lot and turned onto a very well lit street and got pulled over by a cop. I realized what the problem was as soon as I saw his lights and checked my speedometer and saw it was dark, so turned my lights on immediately and pulled over into a parking lot. I had been pulled over before so wasn't really nervous about being pulled over, but my stutter made him really suspicious of me, so he asked me to step out of the car and we spoke for a minute or two. He asked if I had drugs in the car (because the stutter made me seem really nervous). I didn't and told him so. During the short conversation he realized that I stutter and sent me on my way and reminded me to always double check that my lights were on at night. I thanked him and told him I would be more careful about it.
