Unless you have a constant customer facing role or need to speak in very high stress conditions (criminal law, business negotiation, host at a restaurant are some that pop in my head) as long as you are qualified you should be able to work at par with others. In the US, ADA (disability inclusion laws) include speech impediments as a disability that cannot be used as a reason to not hire someone. So if you think you have been unfairly treated, you can check your local Disability laws. I have seen several people in tech and medical fields who are able to perform excellently despite their stutter. These people have to speak to teams but that's not the focus of their jobs. There are a lot of people on the spectrum in the scientific/engineering fields so you people struggle with different aspects of speech as well. I always joke that I would have been an excellent standup comic if not for my stutter. Jokes aside though, play to your strengths. Get a degree or vocational certificate that will help you develop skills needed in society today. The way you speak is just one tiny aspect of the person you are.
