I think I am starting to stutter but I don't know quite how bad it is This happened once before, when I was like 16, it wasn't bad and went away after a few months. I have no idea why it started happening, although my guess would be frequent drug use. It went away after a while, I couldn't exactly tell you when. It didn't seem that important, so I kinda just ignored it. Now I'm 18, and in the past few weeks I have been noticing that I stutter fairly often. It isn't any specific word, and most of the time it happens when I'm rapid-fire talking about something important to me or my emotions. Once again, probably related to frequent drug use. I don't know anything about having a stutter (clinically), maybe you guys can help me out in figuring whether I should be worried that this will become a more serious issue in the future? Edit: after reading on google for a bit, I'm even more worried. Apparently using "uh", "uhm", or "like" too often is a sign. When I was a kid, all throughout my childhood, my mom got onto me all the time because apparently I said all three of those way too often. I also did a lot of tongue clicking for a stint in my childhood, is that a thing? Edit 2: also when I say "mhmm" it somehow gets turned into "mhmhm" somehow. Also apparently editing speech mid-sentence is a symptom of stuttering, which is something I do very, very often.
