I posted this in another thread here but if someone asks you what causes it, you can respond with a quick and intelligent answer: Although we do not know the MAIN cause of stuttering, it can be attributed to three different things: * Developmental - Most common, something in our brains develops wrong during growth * Environmental - Not as common and heavily debated topic in the stuttering community. A triggering event or events happen that cause stuttering. * Neurological - Brain injury. Neurological stuttering has completely different characteristics that the other two.
