Speaking beautifully when reading out loud to self, but constantly freezing up when reading to others So ever since the school year started, I've been trying to speak much more fluidly than I did last year. I started reading out loud to myself, thinking it would help. At the start of this, I stuttered pretty hard while talking to myself but as I practiced more and more I started sounding a lot more fluid. Once the school year started though, I found that I still had trouble with both reading out loud to others and even speaking casually to other people. Oh, and I also noticed that most of my stuttering came around words that start with a vowel, like "uncle" or "EU LCS". Any advice guys?
