Honestly the ADHD groups are great for a lot of things, but not this one. I've tried in the past and it basically boiled down to them empathizing with the attention thing and how it is so hard to listen to people and good on me for putting in effort to try and find middle ground.  So that's not ideal. His stutter was not this pronounced by far until about a yearish ago when he began getting treated for his own ADHD. Neither of us understand why. I don't actually have a lot of skills of what to do and frankly neither does he, though he did recently go to speech therapy and that gave him some things to try. We can find a new rhythm, but when all of our old patterns of communication are suddenly not working it's so hard on us both and we miss each other.
