I never said "stuttering will go away" if you speak fluently by yourself. Try not putting words into people's mouths and actually read what people write. Practising fluency skills infront of a mirror by yourself is a common, accepted, and effective form of therapy. You are just plain wrong to call it bad therapy and to advise someone to seek a new therapist for suggesting it.
