The Push Back Factor Involved In Stuttering?

The Push Back Factor Involved In Stuttering? I think I realized something important about stuttering. I don't know if its just me though or if other people face this too. But do you sometimes want to consciously swallow but for some weird reason, you just can't seem to do it? Like the harder you try to swallow, the more impossible it becomes. I'm talking about just swallowing in general. Like if you're on an airplane which has elevated and you want to swallow air. This doesn't happen when you're eating food. Does anyone else experience that? Where you unconsciously swallow all the time, but at certain times when you actually make the effort to swallow.....it just doesn't happen. The harder you push it, the harder it pushes back. Is this some psychological phenomena?
